Morocco, E.Guinea and Ethiopia bid to take over CHAN from Kenya
Equatorial Guinea, Ethiopia and Morocco are the three countries who are seeking to be Kenya's replacement in the hosting of the Africa Nations championship, CHAN 2018.
According to a communique from the Confederation of African Football, the three federations had submitted their applications as at the end of the deadline on Saturday 30th at midnight. At its meeting on September 23rd, the CAF Executive Committee decided to complete the process of selecting a new host country for the tournament scheduled for January 2018, within 15 days after Kenya, the initial host, failed to meet the requirements. CHAN is a competition in its fifth edition that brings together 16 national teams made up of players selected in their domestic leagues.
